Product Experience Design Intern

Minimum qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of UI/UX or product design
- Experience using Figma or a similar design tool
- Understanding of typography, spacing, layout and visual hierarchy
- Ability to create wireframes and interface designs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to receive feedback and iterate quickly
- Interest in digital products, startups and technology
Preferred qualifications:
- Existing UI/UX portfolio or personal design projects
- Understanding of user research and usability testing
- Experience creating prototypes in Figma
- Knowledge of design systems and reusable components
- Understanding of responsive web or mobile design
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience working with developers

BUILD SCITECH is looking for a Product Experience Design Intern who wants to design technology that people genuinely enjoy using.
You will work on real digital products from early ideas and user flows to wireframes, prototypes and production-ready interfaces. You will collaborate with engineers, product teams and users to understand problems and turn them into simple, thoughtful experiences.
We care about designers who can think beyond making screens beautiful. We want someone curious about why users behave the way they do, how products should work and how good design can make complicated technology feel simple.
This is an unpaid internship intended to provide hands-on product design experience through real BUILD SCITECH products.

Responsibilities
- Design user interfaces for BUILD SCITECH products
- Create wireframes, user flows and interactive prototypes
- Translate product requirements into intuitive user experiences
- Conduct lightweight user research and usability testing
- Contribute to BUILD SCITECH design systems
- Collaborate closely with software engineers during implementation
- Review implemented interfaces and identify design inconsistencies
- Explore multiple design concepts before selecting solutions
- Improve existing products based on user feedback
- Document design decisions and product flows
